Accessible-To- All (ATA) Education Model

In the fall of 1993, the Waldorf School of the Peninsula in Los Altos, California, began a tuition adjustment program based on their commitment to make Waldorf education accessible to all families who value it, regardless of their financial situation. An article, "Reality and Process", by Robert Lathe and Nancy Whittaker, presented at the West Coast Economic Conference in the spring of 1993, was the initial inspiration for this program. Since that time, Bob Monsen, one of the orginial creators of the Accessible-To-All (ATA) Education Model and former Board President of the Waldorf School of the Penninsula, has been offering Independent Waldorf Schools across the country access to ATA, guiding each school through the integration process. Each school has seen profound enrichment of the spiritual and social growth and the economic sustainability of their educational communities.

Some of the Independent Waldorf Schools currently implementing the ATA Tuition Adjustment Program are:

Santa Cruz Waldorf School- Santa Cruz, California

Waldorf School of the Peninsula- Los Altos, California

Waldorf School of Orange County- Costa Mesa, California

The Institute for Social Renewal is dedicated to educating the public about potential applications of Rudolf Steiner's ideas, and about the opportunities for Accessible-To-All education, which may assist families in having access to educational opportunities consistent with an Accessible-To-All education model.
