What We Do

The Institute for Social Renewal supports  independent schools and forward thinking organizations and individuals to develop the capacities of what will be most needed in society and the new economy — creativity, adaptability, critical thinking and the ability to communicate and collaborate.

The Institute surveyed schools implementing accessible-to-all tuition approaches across the country and found the following benefits reported in the schools and communities:

  • Community connection, understanding and involvement
  • Inclusiveness and accessibility
  • Greater transparency and communication
  • Higher enrollment
  • Increased fundraising potential
  • Positive factor in teacher recruitment
  • Ability to sustain schools

Currently, we are working with a whole school approach, aligning the social practices of the school with the pedagogy and focusing on the art of conscious conversation. We provide:

  • Consulting services
  • Presentations
  • Workshops and training
  • Resources
